Today I am FINALLY sharing how I get my go to beachy/undone waves that I wear pretty much every single day of my life and no that is not an exaggeration!

I am definitely a messy hair kind of chick aka I am the anti tight curl prom hair.

I get so many questions about how I get my loose waves and I honestly was never going to do a post about it because it is seriously SOO so so simple with the help of some amazing products and tools!

I have recently been using the new John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Cool Dip™ Purifying Shampoo and Smooth Seas™ Detangling Conditioner and Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray to help me achieve my go to windblown waves because the key to messy waves is all about texture!!

aka this Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray is basically a life saver! I have been using this little dime for a while now and I love it esp. during the summer because it basically smells like I’m living on a yacht in the middle of the Caribbean drinking endless margs dancing to Danza Kuduro ya feel me? Think coconuts, the ocean, and running around in your teeny weeny bikini. Ahh perfection.

My beachy wave how to:

+ Wash you hair using John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Cool Dip™ Purifying Shampoo and Smooth Seas™ Detangling Conditioner which give you that soft beachy texture and then dry your hair like normal (if you air you will get a more undone texture).

+ Wrap hair of all sizes around a 1.25 – 1.5 inch curling iron or wand leaving a space between each wrapped section so you can see the barrel. I prefer big loose curls so I use a bigger barrel. Obviously the smaller the curling iron the tighter your curls will be aka no bueno.

+ Point the curling iron down (same direction as your hair) and leave a 1-1.5 inch section of your out at the end (pictured above) which will give you a more natural look (also the key to beachy waves).

+ My curls all face away from my face but if you want an even messier look, curl some towards your face and some away from your face.

+ After I curl my whole head I spray John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray all over which contains natural sea salt (win) and is perfect for women of any hair color (win! win!).

+ My secret tip which is the last step I take is that I brush out all of my curls after letting them set for about 5-10 mins which gives you more relaxed curls!

P.S. The waves get better if I don’t wash my hair for up to 5 days (what! yuck, sick, ew! but true).
