How To: Distressed Jeggings

So. I get bored fast. Like really fast.

ESPECIALLY when it comes to clothes.

It is a problem and I am really trying to work on it.

SO I was going through my closet the other day and I came across these black Express jeggings that I haven’t worn in a coons age . They still looked decent (just a little faded) and I wasn’t ready to end our relationship just quite yet.

As I am standing in my closet holding up these jeans I thought to myself how in the french toast can I wear these again!?

So. Lightbulb!

I will destroy them

I wasn’t quite sure how they would turn out because they aren’t ‘jean’ material

but I think they turned out pretty fricken cute!

Here is what you will need:

distressed jeans

Step 1 (optional):

Lay your jeans/jeggings out flat and mark with a pencil where you would like the ‘holes’ to go

-I personally just like to wing it- but to each their own

Step 2:

Cut two parallel slits in the area where you want to distress them

Step 3:

Run a piece of sandpaper over the area in all directions until it is frayed enough for your liking

Step 4:

Use your tweezers to pick of any fuzz or pull out any more pieces you want to.

It is literally THAT easy, I don’t know how to explain it in a simpler way!
