You have probably seen these embellished sandals floating around stores lately and I think they are pretty damn rad. I mean come on anything bejeweled kind of makes my life.  So I have taken it upon myself to make my own bejeweled/crystal sandals using an old pair of flats from last summer that have just seen better days. You can buy a new pair of strapy sandals to bejewel but why do that that when you can make something old new again!

I like DIYs that are super simple and don’t involve a lot of steps aka this one. I mean it really does not get any simpler than glueing jewels to shoes, ja feel? If a DIY takes a lot of supplies and time then I would just rather buy it because well no one has time for that! Any future DIYs you see  you can just assume that they take less than an hour and only involve a few supplies! Winner winner chicken dinner.

Here is how I created my embellished sandals:

1) Start with any pair of leather sandals that have a toe strap (old or new).

2) Use whatever glue you wants, preferably a strong hold glue like super glue or  E6000 glue (just don’t get it on your hands because it is a bizzo to remove).

3) Place the jewels on the sandals in a design that you desire. I started in the middle of the straps and then worked my way towards the outsides.

4) Let dry for at least an hour before you show them off!

Easy peasy lemon squeezey! What DIYs have you guys been doing lately. Once Spring/Summer rolls around I tend to become a DIY psycho so stay tuned for more easy little projects my pretties!
